"Hi, Mr Koh..." A handsome doctor walked towards me... "this is Dr Peng... how are you?"
He have the greatest smile I ever seen among all the doctors... I went to NUH today for an appointment with Othropaedic Clinic regarding my fracture wrist... He examined the x-ray taken on Monday at the A&E while the nurse was removing my cast... (my skin breathe!!) STARING at the X-ray film... then he asked another handsome doctor (wow, all the handsome doctors are here...) to study my x-ray film together... AGAIN, STARING CLOSELY!!! I am wondering if they saw my hidden treasure box inside my bone... hahahaha... then one wise man walked past and said, "Hi... ermmm... Mr Koh... How are you?" then he walked toward the 2 doctors and AGAIN START STARING at my x-ray film and started whispering.... Dr Ping came to me and told me that I may need to take another x-ray, upclosed on the wrist to get the clearer picture... (omg... so much of radiation I suffered!!) He explained all the biological term and stuff which I don't wanna bored u to death... and said,"This is quite a complicated case but don't worry, we may need to remove some bone from ur hip and transfer it to ur wrist..." My mind went,"DON'T WORRY????? MAJOR OPS leh!!!"
I returned to the Dr Ping after taking that x-ray and all 3 doctors looked so puzzled... wondering why was it not upclosed? ONCE AGAIN, they started looking for treasure in my bone... and told me, "thru these x-ray, we are now very certain that u have fracture ur wrist... (dude, I know that, otherwise why would the A&E send me to u?) BUT we may need to do a CT Scan on ur wrist to get a clearer picture on how bad is it... meanwhile I shall extend ur MC for another week" (OMG, MC again??? rot to death at home man!)
While I was walking toward the cashier to get my next appt date, I saw a deaf patient communicating with the nurse using pen and paper... I think I forget my pain and walked towards them and asked the nurse if she need an interpreter, she said "Oh thanks, but it don't think I need it anymore..." after that I started to chat with that lady , Priscilla.... OMG... I can't believe I can sign... totally forgotten about my pain... kekee... I started to interpret for her from one clinic to another clinic... OOOOOOOOH!!! I am so happy!!! I signed without any mistake and interpret perfectly... WOW!!! 2nd attempt to interpret for a deaf.... 1st attempt kinda done quite badly... I felt the achievement.... kekee...I found out that my next appt is the same as hers.... kekee.... maybe able to meet up to chat... kekee... AND yes, she is staying quite near me.... hmmm... stupid me, forgot to get her contact...
After the appt at NUH, I went to Ngee Ann Polytechnic (NP) to visited lecturers.... LSCT change a lot, now the staff office is open office concept... and students can't enter... Saw Mirko Stoll, he was of course to see me in cast... well, he read the blog which I written a few weeks back on the alumni stuffs... saying that I wrote badly about him... OKAY!! I shall praise you!! Mirko Stoll is a handsome guy from Germany, sorry ladies, he is married... he is a very nice, honest, talkative lecturer that I had in my poly years... he cares a lot for the students, very considerate.... like to complain here and there but that is the fun side of him... (Sir, if u are reading this.... HAPPY??? hahahaha....)
I left the office and started to float around like a lost soul looking for familiar faces... there! I saw Dr Vivien Lim.... nickname lim mei mei, she still look equally lost and pretty... same old stressed up hair... time to rebond leh la.... kekee... nice lady indeed... So young and she is a PhD holder... My IDOL.... hahahaha....
went to the bus stop and OMG saw Mr Warden? I remembered the time when I was in poly, the wardens were always patrolling NP to catch students with long hair, dyed hair, wearing shorts, improper dressing... Oh WHY?? WHY??? can't believe NP still have wardens patrolling around the campus... I was SO tempted to walk towards him to ask him,"I am ex-student of NP and I have a question to ask u... Do you guys have a quota to meet every month, why were you guys always catching ppl with long hair and stuffs? Got commission arh? hahaahaa!!"
