Can some wise man explain to me what the difference between nasi briyani and chicken briyani?

Waiter 1: Can I have your order, please?
Friend: Nasi Briyani, Chicken... (paused for 2 second) Is it the fried one or the curry chicken one?
Waiter 1: huh? It's the rice one...
My friend and I stared at each other...
Friend: I know, I mean the chicken, fried chicken or curry chicken?
Waiter 1: No, no, no.... It is rice one...
Friend: (flipping the menu) This one... (pointing at Nasi Briyani, Ayam) curry one har?
Waiter 1: (with deep indian accent) No.. This one finish already... We left with Chicken Briyani....
Friend: (puzzled) What is Chicken Briyani?
Waiter 1: It is the chicken in the rice...
My friend and I stared at each other with LOTS of question marks...
Friend: Then what is Nasi Briyani?
Waiter 1: The chicken on the rice...
My friend and I stared at each other with MORE question marks...
Waiter 1: So you want the Chicken Briyani?
Friend: ermmm.... later then we order... we flipped thru the menu first...

My friend and I were still TRYING hard to figure the difference between Nasi Briyani and Chicken Briyani... eventually, we gave up... we asked for another waiter...

Waiter 2: Yes!
Friend: Ask you har, what is the difference between Chicken Briyani and Nasi Briyani, Ayam?
Waiter 2: No difference la...
We both laughed....
Friend: okay, can I have the chicken briyani and the............
